Millbrook House

About the Project

Set within the controlled design environment of Millbrook, this home was designed for a couple whose lives centre around family. The brief called for a house that felt generous and refined, while remaining warm, welcoming, and comfortably scaled for everyday living.

Working within strict architectural guidelines, the design uses a series of simple pavilion forms to break down the overall mass and create a clear organisation of spaces. Living and private areas are subtly separated, while maintaining strong connections through transitional spaces and outdoor rooms.

Careful attention to proportion, light, and spatial flow allows the house to feel both open and intimate. Materials were selected for durability and quiet refinement, including natural stone, oak, and board-finished concrete.

The result is a composed and enduring home that balances clarity with comfort, designed to support both everyday living and larger family gatherings over time.
